Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Laboratory Technician to support our Science Faculty’s teaching and learning programs. Working closely with the Head of Department and teaching staff, you will play a vital role in preparing and maintaining materials, equipment, and laboratory spaces to ensure safe, efficient, and engaging practical science experiences for students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organise materials, equipment, and solutions for practical lessons and demonstrations.
  • Maintain laboratories by checking, repairing, and servicing equipment; monitoring and ordering stock; conducting annual inventories; and managing, supporting, and filing risk assessments
  • Uphold all health, safety, and compliance requirements including chemical handling, waste disposal, labelling and ensuring laboratories meet regulatory and supervision standards.
  • Provide administrative support through purchasing, budgeting, inventory management, documentation, curriculum‑related assistance, and supporting the Head of Department with operational and organisational tasks.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Appropriate laboratory qualifications and demonstrated relevant experience.
